Firstly, we’ll take a digital scan of your child’s teeth using our state of the art digital scanner, which means no messy, uncomfortable impressions and ensures an accurate image of their teeth.
You’ll then receive an individual treatment plan video which shows how your child’s final smile will look.
Invisalign technicians will create a series of custom-made aligners from clear plastic, to gradually expand your child’s jawline, with space to accommodate teeth that are growing in.
Your child will wear each set of aligners in the series according to their treatment plan, until the process is complete. Each new aligner is slightly different to the last and progresses the tooth movement to the next step.
To achieve the best results, your child must wear their aligner as much as possible — ideally between 20-22 hours each day. Because the aligners are so comfortable, your child can wear them while sleeping.
During the treatment, we’ll see your child for regular checks to ensure that the aligners are working well and treatment is on track. Perfect for busy parents, the Invisalign First treatment process requires far fewer orthodontic appointments than with traditional braces.

Invisalign First is designed specifically to address the needs of young children. It works differently than other Invisalign options we offer at Freshdental, as it uses dental arch expansion to expand and contour a child's jawline.
For best results, your child should wear their aligners for the recommended duration as prescribed by their orthodontist, and usually for at least 22 hours each day. Proper maintenance and regular check-ups with your child’s orthodontist are also important, to ensure that Invisalign First works properly and efficiently.
Invisalign First aligners are removable, so your child can take them off when eating and drinking. This means your child can eat and drink as normal. We recommend avoiding high-sugar food and drink for growing teeth as this may affect their development.
The duration of Invisalign First treatment will vary from patient to patient. Our average patient wears aligners between 6 months to a year. Your child's orthodontist can give you an accurate estimate based on your child's individual needs, during an initial assessment.
